Here are a couple of entertaining little web-based diversions to amuse you. Don't worry, I guarantee these as being completely devoid of any practical purpose, so don't feel guilty that you're doing something productive while you play with them.
Here's one that's pure CGI for those of you who are still in the stoneage and don't have a Java-capable browser: (Sure, make my machine do all the work for you.)
The highly entertaining and CPU-hogging Web-based Anagram Generator.
If you have a browser that implements JavaScript (i.e. Netscape. Or, MSIE if you want to whine about it, but if you're using MSIE, I aughta boot you off the site. Oh yeah, I do...) then check out the Epilepsy Homepage. No, it's not a site about Epilepsy, it's a site designed to induce seizures. If you are epileptic-prone, DO NOT follow this link!
These both require that your browser run Java. If you don't have one that does, I really don't want to hear about it, slacker.
A fun and entertaining Java version of the Techmatics Organizational Chart.
(Somewhat outdated at the moment.)
(Nov. 10, 1996, read: extremely outdated...)
(Dec. 12, 1996, more outdated than ever...)
(May 27, 1997, so outdated, it's unbelievable...)
(June 2, 1998, not only is it outdated, Techmatics doesn't exist anymore, the building they were in was burned to the ground, the people were all shot, the state it existed in was nuked, and the entire planet hurtled into the sun.)
You ever wanted to telnet from your web page? (Won't do you much good other than to stare at unless you have an account on this system, which you don't, but at least you can get links to the people who wrote them so you can download the Java classes and do something almost completely insane with it yourself. They might also crash your browser...)
