Objective

 

I am seeking a position within a company that will allow me to exercise my full creative and technical abilities. I have had extensive experience in Internet-focused companies, in Web development, in database design and integration. I also have a personal interest in computer-based graphic design, animation, and computer-generated graphics. I have a wide range of skills, and am capable of learning new skills extremely quickly. I feel I would be an asset to any company looking for an employee with a unique technical and creative vision.

 

Summary of qualifications

 
  • Experience with creation and integration of database applications in a web-based environment, using PHP and Java with Apache and the ApacheJServ using HTML-embedded scripting and servlets
  • Database experience with Oracle RDBMS as administrator, including replicated environments, and PL/SQL programmer and with free/open database software such as MySQL and Postgres in standalone applications and as back-end to Web-based applications
  • Extensive use of a wide range of graphics design and 3-D software (Photoshop, The Gimp, Painter, Corel Draw, Lightwave 3D, etc.)
  • Intimately familiar with HTML through version 4.0 (hand-coded) and several years of experience with design and layout particular to web-based media
  • Programming experience in C for CGI applications and Netscape NSAPI plug-in modules as well as general programming in C and Java
  • Experience with installation and administration of UNIX-like operating systems, including Linux, Solaris, BSD variants, SGI IRIX and Digital UNIX and Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 95/98 and Windows NT
  • Familiarity with network topologies and design for TCP/IP, IPX, NetBEUI networks in LAN and WAN situations, routing and LAN, WAN and Web-based network security
